Set Default Browser for Windows

How do I set my Default Browser?
Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or later

  1. From the Start menu, access the Control Panel.  

  2. On the Control Panel window, choose Programs then Default Programs, then Set your default programs.

  3. On the Set Default Programs window, choose a Web browser from the Program section and click Set this program as default, then click OK.

 

Windows 8.1

  1. Click on the start button and start typing “Control Panel” in the start screen then hit enter.

  2. Click on “Programs” then click on “Default Programs” then “Set your default programs”.

  3. Select a browser from the list like Chrome and set program as default.

  4. Click OK.

 

 

Windows 10

  1. Click on "Start" and then "Settings".

  2. In this new window, select "System" and then "Default Apps".

  3. Scroll down and you'll see the "Web Browser" section. Clicking on it will bring up a window with all of the browsers you have installed.

 

Windows 10 (Tablet Mode)

  1. Tap the Hamburger menu from the top left portion of the Start Screen:and select "Settings".

  2. In this new window, select "System" and then "Default Apps".

  3. Swipe up on the right portion of this screen and you'll see the "Web Browser" section at the bottom. Tapping on it will bring up a window with all of the browsers you have installed.
